Off West End Awards 2018 Nominee
Charlotte Christensen is a London based actress, singer and flautist. She has recently finished a production of ‘The Tempest’ at the Actor’s Church in Covent Garden playing the part of Ariel, for which she has been nominated for an ‘Offie’ for Best Supporting Actress in a play.
Charlotte first trained in Opera at the Royal Northern College of Music and then went on to gain a Masters in Musical Theatre from The Royal Academy of Music. Since graduating in 2017 Charlotte has appeared as an ‘Angel’ in Deadpan Theatre’s production of Gate at the Cockpit Theatre, ‘Liza’ in The Little Match Girl at the Tabard Theatre and was part of the ensemble for Alan Ayckbourn’s new play The Divide at the Old Vic Theatre, London.
Credits whilst training include ‘Maria’ in the European premiere of Alex Timber’s Love’s Labour’s Lost at the Hackney Empire, in the chorus for Disney’s Broadway Hits at the Royal Albert Hall, ‘Kathy’ in Sondheim’s Company and ‘Puck’ in Benjamin Britten’s opera A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
“the undisputed star of the night is Charlotte Christensen’s Ariel. She sings! She acts! She dances! She playsmultiple instruments! If you’d have tossed a couple of eggs onto the stage she’d probably make a world-class soufflé…I’m not kidding when I say there is literally no moment in this production where Christensen isn’t kicking ass”
